Where can I buy Polkadot? ( DOT )

In the past several days, I have heard more people ask, “Where can I buy Polkadot? Where can I buy Dot? …” Well, it is rather easy to do with Changelly.com. SImply follow the link and purchase with BTC or ETH.

In order to do this, you must first have a Ledger Hardware wallet.

Steps

1. Set up a Ledger Nano wallet with Polkadot in the Ledger software.
2. Sign into your Ledger and activate Polkadot on your Ledger
3. Go to the PolkaDot Blockchain by visiting https://polkadot.js.org/apps/#/accounts
4. Follow the prompts to install browser extension when you click “Add via Ledger”

5. Once your Ledger is communicating with Polkadot via the browser extension, click “Add Account”

6. A new account should show in the list of accounts.

7. Click account to see your Polkadot wallet address. This is the address where you will tell Changelly to send your DOT after your purchase has completed.

NOTE: These transactions are irreversible, so it is generally recommended that you try a small transaction prior to sending any larger amounts to make sure you got it down. If you make a mistake, there is no way to reverse it. Always verify that you have the correct address. It will likely take 6 network confirmations prior to the transaction taking place, so do not be concerned if this takes 45min to an hour.
